How to run the Nightly Closeout

● Ready

Closeout is two steps — the Cash Drawer and the Tip-Out. You must finish both before you can save.

  1. From the Hub, open Closeout. The date fills in automatically. Enter the opener and closer.
  2. ① CASH DRAWER — count the drawer: enter how many of each bill & coin (1¢ → $100). The Total counted adds up automatically.
  3. The bank is locked at $300. If your count isn't $300, the Over (+) / Short (−) shows automatically (green = over, red = short, "EVEN" = perfect). Enter the cash drop (deposit), and a note if it's off.
  4. ② TIP-OUT — tap the Tip-Out tab. Enter CC tips and cash tips, then each FOH person + hours, and the kitchen names (kitchen splits the 10% evenly).
  5. Set each person Paid cash or Owed (cash short? tap All owed, then switch anyone you paid). Tap CALCULATE.
  6. The red Owed list is exactly who the owner pays by Zelle/Venmo.
  7. Tap Save tonight. It won't save until both steps are done — it'll tell you what's missing. Once saved, it's logged. No photos, no paper.

Golden rules: the bank is always $300 · count, don't guess · never do tip math by hand.
